With eager anticipation for the Walking Dead Season 6, as we are getting hyped up for the aftermath in the Alexandria Not-So-Safe Zone and the oncoming Rick-Morgan showdown, that’s going to be definitely one of the integral subplots of this season. While taking a step back from all the hype, let’s reflect on something much more terrifyingly memorable in turn.
These walkers cannot be merely relegated to the background of the undead masses- these are far creepier and distorted than in your wildest dreams. Some of these were the ones that brought us to tears (remember Penny?) and disgusted us so much; we couldn’t afford to eat. These will be the ones that will keep strutting on in a nightmarish way, with dragging decaying parts- a hand and a jaw following hot on your trail!!
From here on in, its gonna be a vast lot of spoilage for The Walking Dead. So, for the fans still trailing behind, stop reading this top 10 list right now; for the season premiere is nigh….and we can’t wait..
10. Dead Shane (Season 2, Episode 12: ‘Better Angels’)
I guess all of us can say that the Rick-Shane showdown has been quite inevitable from the time when Shane takes over as the alpha male and transcends his role as the right-hand man of the group. We could see that he was going deranged over the course of the second season, as he tried to rally supporters for a rebellion at Hershel’s farm. And when it finally came to a one-on-one showdown, Rick stabbed Shane, and subsequently, it was revealed that dead people need not be bitten to rise from their graves, as was evident by Shane’s Walker state. Amidst the organ-dangling undead hordes, the sight of a major character amongst them makes it intimately revolting. Seeing the shaved-head, drooling Shane was genuinely disturbing, so to speak.
9. Penny (Season 3, Episode 8: ‘Made to Suffer’)
And how can we ever forget about the Governor’s daughter, Penny? Never did the Governor seem to accept that his child was a lost cause- well…he kept feeding her raw chunks of meat and brushed her decaying hair. Michone’s eventual discovery of the child and her subsequent death is what led to the Governor losing all sense of humanity. We all have known for quite some time, that housing these undead creatures never amounts to anything. At least with her, we had a shred of hope there was a chance of recovery. Now, there is least to none.
