3. Anyone Seen the Zombies?
The lack of zombies in ‘Fear’ can be justified since its set before the start of the apocalypse. However we are at the end of the season and zombies are mainly a theoretical threat rather than being tangible. The number of zombies that have been shown in the first 5 episodes can be counted on fingertips. It’s hard to believe that there are such few zombies considering the fact that Atlanta had hoards of zombies. Moreover, half the population of Los Angeles is supposed to be infested with zombies and this is where the ‘Fear’ is set. So, the million dollar question is; where are the zombies?
2. Delaying The Inevitable:
‘Fear’ copies the original, showing the exact same story where a band of survivors treks through a destroyed waste land with both the zombies and the undeserving living. As audiences we are aware that in the end civilization will be totally destroyed, zombies will tread on planet earth and the survivors will be strewn in the wilderness. ‘Fear’ needs to come up with something new because the viewers aren’t going to be sticking around for too long watching what they have already seen.
