6 Reasons Why The Wait For “Fear The Walking Dead” Is Truly Agonizing

A television spinoff is a gamble that may or may not pay off. Some like Joey or AfterMASH have fallen flat on its face while some like Frasier have hit the nail on the head.
After a successful and hugely popular five seasons of The Walking Dead, AMC announced its spinoff in 2013. Dilution of the brand, and the novelty of the show were the concerns on the minds of the fans. But after the super beginning of Better Call Saul, a spinoff at par with its predecessor, these concerns are waning off. Stills, teasers and trailers from the ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ have already left a lasting impression and have in fact charmed everyone at the Comic Cons also. So, as we come closer to the D-day (August 23) when this show will begin, here are top 6 reasons why the excitement levels are at its extreme and the wait is just so agonizing:

6) Los Angeles Is The Star Of The Show

Fear The Walking Dead’s premise has been set on the West Coast, in the urban jungle of Los Angeles. Its new Southern California setting is evident from the teasers of skate parks, beaches, and other suburban environments.
The whole concept of walkers roaming around in known places like Santa Monica Pier and Hollywood Boulevard makes the show more realistic to imagine. This setting has been touched upon by movies like Zombieland in the past, but getting to see this on a weekly basis is what sets this show apart.
Also, the difference in the geographical diversity as compared to the mother show has helped Fear carve out is own visual identity even before it has started airing. People of LA will be swarmings with fear while going about with their ordinary lives before the apocalypse strikes!
